The loft final reveal

I have finally finished our loft!
It took me some time to really know what I wanted to do with the space, but thanks to some great comments and suggestions, the playroom is finished.

I added the word "read" above the bookcase. I got the letters from Hobby Lobby and spray painted them red, then attached them to the wall using Velcro.

I got new chalkboard labels for the baskets off of groupon

Yes we do have a separate basket just for action figures!

I then recovered the lampshade.
The previous shade wasn't bad, but it just blended in to much.

Notice all of the "art" on the table? You can imagine my frustration when I saw that! All I will say on the subject is that it now has a fresh coat of paint...grrr!

Here is the new shade...much better.

and then there is the curtain. You can read all about that here.

I added some frames to walls next to the window.

The art I found online and just had them printed on cardstock.
I love all of the colors!

And lastly is this gumball machine. I'm still on the fence about it, but I think its so cute. We found it at a garage sale a few months ago and its been sitting in Tatum's closet ever since. I'm a bit scared to put anything in right now. Any thoughts?

Now here is the rooms transformation from start to finish:

and now

This room suits our family needs perfectly and I am so happy with the finished result!

Looks great!!! I ended up buying the same rug, but in the pink version. You've inspired me to take the "final" pics of our loft playroom too!

Thanks

The room looks great...Instead of painting the table the kids like to draw on you could paint the top with chalkboard paint and keep chalk on the table...

I do love all the fun colors!!!

It looks awesome!

Do you print it yourself on cardstock or is there a printer that does that? I hate photopaper for art when I can avoid it.

Candace, for the prints I just sent them to the UPS store and they printed them on cardstock for me. I think it is only $.75 a page or something close to that...way better than using your own ink!
